Cenerentola: Reviving the Renaissance Classic as an Illustrated Children’s Book

This project addresses the homogenization of fairy tales in popular culture and the loss of variations present in earlier orally transmitted versions of fairy tales. Cenerentola is the earliest full version of Cinderella published in Europe, in 17th Century Naples. With this project, I aim to revive this version of the story in an accessible and pleasing format for young children.
