I will be graduating this spring with a love of publication design and branding design. Within my publication design, I aim to represent the idea behind the story of the book without overpowering the eye unlike most publication designs do today. This piece shows my love of creating a story within the cover without becoming overpowering with subtle details within the border design. With my work, I am excited to create something that can spread the story behind the idea to, whether that be an actual story or even a logo to complete someone’s dream business.

Projects

'Everyone Knows Your Mother Is A Witch' Book Re-Design

This project consisted of reading 'Everyone Knows Your Mother Is A Witch' by Rivka Galchen and designing something based on the book itself. We were given the choice of creating anything. I decided to redesign the book itself, using elements based on witchcraft. This includes sigils, moon phases, the overseeing eye, and the bay leaves.

'Geeky Gift Market' Re-Branding

This project consisted of selecting a brand, this could have been a product or an event. I choose an event. The selected event is a market that started during COVID-19 called “Geeky Gift Market.” They are a small market that wished to assist in helping small artists have the ability to sell while the conventions were closed.

'Behind the Screams' Advertising

This group project consisted of creating an exhibit of our choosing and creating the layout and all forms of advertising for the exhibit. I was tasked with creating the posters for the event.

We chose the topic of behind-the-scenes horror movies. Hence the name 'Behind the Screams.' We wished to show what happens to create the horrors seen on the screens.

Sleepy Walk Cycle

This project consisted of learning the basics of animation. We were tasked with creating a character and giving it a walk cycle to allow said character to travel across the screen. I chose to do this through frame-by-frame animation.

This sleepy guy just wants to get home to bed. He can barely keep his eyes open or keep his head up as he makes his endless adventure to the comfort of his bed. Sadly, he will never make it. Cursed to walk the clouds endlessly.
