I credit my love of art, print media, and anthropology with making me the designer I am today. I have a lifelong passion for illustration and storytelling, and enjoy working in a variety of styles and mediums — but, more than anything, I love creating things that resonate with people emotionally!

Overall, I'm looking forward to working in print and branding after MacEwan. I would especially love to work in magazine publishing, both for layout and editorial illustration, and utilize the skills I have been honing for the past few years!

Projects

Violet Chocolate Company Rebrand

While the Edmonton darling Violet Chocolate Company is sadly no more, this rebrand exercise serves to encompass the chocolatier’s identity as a creator of unique and artisanal chocolate, beloved not only by Edmontonians but across Canada as an award-winning brand.

In line with the original identity, I focused on utilizing the namesake flower motif, creating a stylish and striking new identity that works in a variety of colours and sizes.

Connected Edmonton Annual Report

This project involved designing a unique version of the City of Edmonton’s annual report.

Edmonton is the River City, and what better way to represent that than through the iconic bridges spanning the North Saskatchewan River. Bridges connect us to our community, our culture, and our history, making them a bespoke and wonderful piece of visual storytelling.

West Coast Seeds Annual Catalog

West Coast Seeds is a fantastic, Canadian-owned seed company that needed an update to it’s annual seed catalog. This project provides a clean, legible new structure that maintains the brand’s friendly and organic visual identity.

Lady of the Lake

This project was to illustrate a classic storybook with a twist. I chose to illustrate Nimue from the Legend of King Arthur, from a perspective that makes her adversarial focus of the story.
