Hello hi, I'm Angel!

I'm a graphic designer born and raised in Edmonton, AB. I find inspiration in the things that bring me joy, like my family, friends, and nature! I love bright colours and simplicity and strive to create things that are functional and make people smile. Over the last four years, design has connected me with a beautiful community of empathetic, creative problem solvers. Following graduation, I am enthusiastic to continue to help foster and grow this community. Over the pandemic, I learned how to crochet, and I got a puppy!

Jo͞os Branding

Jo͞os is a Canadian juice company whose mission is to inspire young children and families to live and maintain a healthier lifestyle, starting with a more nutritious diet. The name Jo͞os originates from the phonetic spelling "juice." It is simple to read and pronounce, just like their natural ingredients. The logo reflects the company's fun and energetic vibe while maintaining a family-friendly appearance through clean lines, a bright colour palette, and rounded edges.

Meiosis - Sex Cell Reproduction Explained

Challenged in my information design class to illustrate a complex process, I combined my biology interests with my love of illustration and design. The result? A visually engaging and educational resource for students explaining the complex process of sex cell reproduction, AKA Meiosis!

Netflix Sports Advertisements

For my advertising design class, this purpose of this project was to take an existing brand's visual identity, and create a campaign that introduces it into a new market.

Designed within Netflix's distinct brand voice and visual identity, Netflix Sports combines sports broadcasting and Netflix streaming services.

Canadian Blood Services - Rhetoric Posters

This project's goal was to align ourselves with a non-profit group in the city and develop a series of communication materials that encourage volunteerism.

The largest challenge was to remain as authentic to the client (non-profit group) while also successfully exploring the three modes of persuasion (ethos, pathos, and logos) combined with the rhetorical devices provided.

Family Matters: There Is No Normal

I partnered with Crystal Vanier, Marguerite Watson, and The Vanier Institute of Canada to answer: How might my design research help educate individuals on the changing norms of family dynamics and their inaccurate portrayal in the popular culture and media?

The results? A children’s book with activity pages and an Instagram social media campaign!
