About
Hi! My name’s Emma! I am an Edmonton-based generalist designer who enjoys many fields of design, including visual communication, branding, and publication.

My portfolio highlights many of the technical skills I’ve developed, a range of subjects, and a willingness to try new mediums.

Every project is a chance to grow as a designer. I want to keep pushing myself and my designs. I want to constantly improve my work and broaden my skill set.

Book Design: Flowers for Algernon

Flowers for Algernon, written by Daniel Keyes, is explored through its typography. This project analyzes the text and focuses on using type to convey the character arc, creating a compelling experience of the novel.

National Geographic Candle Advertisement

This project looked at a preexisting brand to understand its brand system and work within it. Using the brand voice, I presented a new product that aligns with the brand guidelines, creating a product that feels fitting for the brand.

Mojo Magazine Redesign

This magazine redesign focused on presenting rock music as high art. Curating content to elevate rock as an art form and present to a wider audience the passion behind the music.

Dog Rump Park Rebrand

This project focused on rebranding and redesigning the logo for my local park, Dog Rump Park. The redesign focused on the natural qualities that make the park so beloved in the community, highlighting its peaceful, playful personality in the new branding.
