About
Hi, I’m Don, a Chinese/Vietnamese-Canadian designer passionate about creating across different media. Whether working in digital or physical form, I enjoy transforming concepts into visually compelling designs that blend creativity with intuition. I’m driven by curiosity and a desire to explore new ideas, constantly experimenting with materials, techniques, and perspectives to push my work forward. Through thoughtful design and attention to detail, I aim to create pieces that not only look engaging but also communicate meaning and evoke emotion. I can’t wait to see what the design world has for me.
Projects
Copying a style: Hannah Eddy’s
This project reinterprets François Boucher’s 1748 painting The Fountain of Love by integrating Hannah Eddy’s bright, playful illustrative style. By combining Boucher’s romantic, nature-filled background with Eddy’s energetic, whimsical figures, the work offers a fun, modern take on a historical masterpiece.
Community Partnership: Bison Lodge
This project consisted of four teammates: Courtney, Don, Piper, and Sydney. We researched and cohesively rebranded Buffalo Lodge (now Bison Lodge) while preserving its historical significance. It includes insights into the client’s vision, competitor analysis, target audience, and proposed visual identity concepts, while we each individually developed the final product. In the end, I came to my final design for the wedding venue.
Term Website: Development Mode Model

Illustrative Photography Thriller
This illustrative photograph is designed as a thriller-style movie poster titled The Second Face. Two women sit closely together in a dark setting, both wearing plain white masks that hide their identities. The masks create a mysterious and unsettling mood, suggesting themes of secrecy and dual identity. Low-key lighting highlights the masks while most of the scene fades into shadow, building suspense. The woman in front wears a red dress, symbolizing danger and tension. The minimal background, eerie tagline, and bold red title strengthen the atmosphere of the cinematic thriller.
