About
Hey, I’m Connor, a multi-disciplinary designer who enjoys making things that look cool and work well. I’m passionate about balancing aesthetics and usability, developing practical solutions to real problems while pushing the visual envelope. Being immersed in a wide range of disciplines throughout the Design program has allowed me to approach projects from many perspectives. Whether it’s web development, experimental typography, or service design, I enjoy exploring new mediums and ways of thinking to fuel my creativity. I’m excited to enter the industry, continue learning, and contribute to impactful, engaging design.

Salomon Catalog

This catalogue design highlights Salomon’s snowboarding product line. Taking inspiration from ski and snow catalogues of decades past, this catalogue combines rugged collage-style image treatments with clear typography. The result is a product showcase that is both fun to look at and easy to understand.

Peregrine

This term-long branding project involved the creation of Peregrine. This full-service airline values efficiency, accessibility, and eco-consciousness. Streamlined, aerodynamic visual styles emphasize Peregrine’s commitment to providing a hassle-free air travel experience. Three additional subbrands were created to form a cohesive house of brands, including a cargo subsidiary, a frequent flyer rewards program, and an ultra-low-cost carrier.

Vertically Inclined

A web design and development for a local rock climbing gym, Vertically Inclined. A focus on improving the hierarchy of information, combined with the implementation of modern visual styles, resulted in a more user-friendly experience. Utilizing the fundamentals of coding with HTML and CSS to implement the design exposed me to the possibilities of web development.

Alberta Genealogy Society

Working in collaboration with the Alberta Genealogy Society Edmonton Branch, this capstone project involved creating various visual communication materials to promote family history research to a younger audience and support new genealogists. Insights from in-depth research informed the creation of an informational guidebook for new members to the society, a promotional campaign, and social media posts and ads.
