Over the past two semesters, I have been researching sustainability, education, and the family unit. This app was created as the output of that research to help individuals connect with sustainability through activities and inadvertently learn more about what this broad term encompasses. By doing activities together and creating a community environment, users can share knowledge and excitement.
The following is a complete walk-through of the app in use.
The following images are the main components of this app. You have the activities page in the front and center where users can find and join activities. Should they want to create their own, the option is also there. To the right is the connect page, where users can post and connect with other users to keep up the excitement. On the left is your profile page that tracks your past activities and achievements.
On the current activities, page users can find all activities they have joined. By clicking on activity, users can see more or mark an activity as complete. Once an activity has been marked complete, users are asked to upload an image and write a small reflection of their experience. These reflections can be both private or public.
These screens are part of the signup process for new users. They are first asked to create a profile and determine whether they want to remain public or be private. They are then asked for their interests to filter what types of activities they will be suggested, and finally, they can establish connections through suggestions or the search.
