About
Hello, I’m Katrina! I’m a multidisciplinary designer specializing in photography & publication. I have a natural eye for composition & bold imagery, which drives me to execute medium-integrated designs. My portfolio emphasizes my resiliency & drive not only as a person but also as a creative problem-solver; I am eager to try new mediums, software, & approaches to fully enrich my experience as a designer & the experience of the people who engage with the work I contribute. Embracing the process of ‘failure’ & the experiences which led to my successes defines what it means to be a designer to me.

Also, Women

An advertising public service announcement raising awareness of the symptoms of ADHD in women to young women who are isolated and unanswered regarding their mental health struggles. Rooted in advocacy for the underrepresentation of women’s neurodivergency, it devises pop-up errors from older technology to visually emphasize how outdated and blocking our system is for women.

Magazine Cover

An editorial photoshoot and design for a mock magazine cover, featuring the model in an unconventional lighting and setting captured through flash photography. The concept emerges from the small corridors a creative artist lives in, the spaces we live in that create a reflection of us.

Illustrated Album Cover

An illustrated album cover for Caroline Polachek’s album ‘Pang.’ To interpret the visceral journey in Polachek’s music, the photographer implements motion blur to visually represent the emotional heights, paired with alternative posing and lighting to convey the alternate production of sound. The design and illustration compose a surreal effect, contributing to the dream-like nature of the vocals and lyrics.

Miss Sixties: Character Walk Cycle

A walk cycle of a "diva" character inspired by the visual and fashion style of the 60s, made in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. The walk cycle is animated to capture the essence of the character and setting; the movement is an effortless skip-walk, in which the character freely swings her purse and expresses herself with confidence.
