Projects
Copy a Style
An illustration project where we were tasked with picking a masterpiece and copying a style from a chosen artist. For my project, I chose George Bellows' "Stag at Sharkey's" in the style of Makoto Raiku, a mangaka for the series "Zatch Bell".
Visualizing a Narrative
For this visual narrative project, we were tasked to visualize a journey of a recent or distant memory. I visualized my trip to Italy in 2019 through a photo collage of key artifacts that were a part of my journey.
Book Design
In this publication project, we were tasked to design a short book of our choice from cover to cover. The book I created a design for is the "Japanese Fairy Tales", curated by Yei Theodora Ozaki, is inspired by Japanese art forms like "kintsugi" (art of repairing pottery with gold), "sumi-e" (ink wash painting), and "goshuin" (temple and shrine stamps).
Social Justice Campaign
This advertising project tasked us to tackle a social justice issue, the issue I decided to tackle is men's mental health. Inspired by the "Boys Do Cry" organization in Australia, the campaign I designed is based on men being able to shed and "break down" from the manly facade.
