About
Hey, I’m Hunter! I fell in love with colour after taking a design elective and picking up a paintbrush four years ago during my BCOM. I chose to challenge myself in a field I knew nothing about when I began teaching myself to paint that year. I’ve never wished to look back. I found my voice, and I devote all I have to advancing my practice. I’m passionate about the little moments in the human experience and the natural environment around us, which I strive to integrate into my work, as part of the voice that makes me, me.
Projects
Colour Theory: Advanced Approaches & Applications
An independent study that aims to expand past the knowledge of colour theory learned in the design program and its application in design thinking. The 88-page research publication aims to refine the theoretical knowledge of colour theory and expand into reality-based rendering through the influence and interaction of environments and how we can alter colour as a tool for perception in illustrative storytelling.
Future Worlds
The final project tasked to challenge future issues, critiques mass consumption, resource harvesting, and habitat loss over time. It suggests a sense of entanglement and interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world through the warped perspective of man and nature.
Saje Catalogue
The project aims to explore how to develop a catalogue for a company that does not currently use a print platform, and to showcase the ability to deliver an outcome that aligns with their current brand style and voice, while exploring multi-levelled hierarchies in product design.
