About
Hello, I’m Hayden! I am a multidisciplinary graphic designer based in Edmonton, Alberta. A long-time illustrator and fine artist, I came into this program to blend my creative and analytical strengths. Over the course of this degree, I have fallen in love with branding and advertising and have gained experience across various industries and roles, including web & social media management, design research, and agency work. When I’m not working, I enjoy being an active part of the greater Edmonton creative community and staying up to date on the latest trends in design, pop culture, and coffee.

Spark Community Art Studio

Spark Community Art Studio is a hypothetical community art studio created for Edmonton’s Whyte Avenue district. The project involved developing a vibrant brand identity and promotional materials designed to appeal to Gen-Z creatives—especially women and gender-diverse artists.

Moka Beverage Brand

Moka is a grab-and-go, pre-bottled mocha brand with a warm and playful personality. The project combined branding and advertising, resulting in a Valentine’s Day campaign that plays on the public’s love–hate relationship with the holiday.

Expressive Information Design Poster

Work/Life (Im)balance is an informational poster that visualizes personal data reflecting what I did (and didn’t) accomplish during my fall 2024 reading week. The design combines illustration, photography, and typography inspired by early 2000s aesthetics to create a narrative about the challenges of balancing academic, work, and personal life.

Colour Theory In Motion

This motion graphics video was created as the final project for Motion Graphics II. The piece examines how colour theory in film can evoke different emotions, drawing visual inspiration from some of my favourite films as both a film enthusiast and illustrator.
