About
Tansi/Hello! My name is Meagan, and I am an Indigenous graphic designer from Kehewin Cree Nation. I am passionate about visual communication design, including branding, marketing, advertising, and photography. Through intentional design and collaborative strategy, I aim to create thoughtful design systems that not only look beautiful and distinctive but also solve problems and foster trust and engagement. After graduation, I hope to lead creative workshops for youth in my community to demonstrate how creativity can shape minds, create influence, and build resilience.
Projects
Beerfest Rebrand
My final project for Corporate ID & Branding, where we needed to choose a local company/organization for a brand redesign, and I chose Edmonton’s International Beerfest. Here are some of my final design collateral pieces that emphasize Beerfest’s themes of celebration, community, and inclusivity through a playful, vibrant visual identity.
Child Trafficking Awareness Campaign
This social justice issue campaign about child trafficking consists of red, black and white to create a sense of urgency and evoke empathy. This high-contrast palette, paired with simple silhouettes and shocking information, is meant to drive immediate awareness, emotional impact, and inspire action against the issue.
Fruit Fuse Smoothies
Fruit Fuse Smoothies is a vibrant, high-quality smoothie product that focuses on health, transparency, and family-friendly values. The bright colours, playful type, and hand-drawn style brand identity appeals to children while reassuring health-conscious parents.
Mental Health Photo Essay
This photo essay uses dark, shadowed silhouettes to symbolize the loneliness, anxiety, and hardships students often carry during their time in school. Supported by an interview with my mother about her own experiences, the project highlights the importance of resilience, support systems, and asking for help.
