Tabea Troppmann
she/they
Hi, my name is Tabea. I entered the design field looking to apply my creativity in a professional space and on the way, I found my love for communication and storytelling through graphic design. I have focused on developing my illustration and typography skills and most importantly, my design process. My portfolio demonstrates my ability to adapt my design thinking to any situation and create unique, engaging visual stories that encapsulate the design problem, be it infographics, editorial illustrations, or VCD campaigns. I look forward to working alongside industry designers and continuing to craft captivating illustrations that wow both audiences and clients.
Projects
"The House" Visual Narrative
This project asked us to illustrate a space while exploring methods of environmental storytelling and applying narrative elements. My chosen space was 'the House' from the novel Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, an infinitely expanding sequence of halls and staircases that is filled with statues, oceans and clouds.
"Right to a Real Smile" Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign
This illustration was created for a domestic violence awareness campaign. My project focused on the feelings of agency and empowerment that can be found in moving beyond difficult times while highlighting some resources individuals in crisis can reach out to.
Dopamine Machine: Systems of an Artist
The ‘Dopamine Machine’ is an illustrated infographic project that combines cybernetic visuals with life data to examine how I use dopamine to keep myself productive. This narrative was developed as a critique of the challenging work/life balance many art students deal with.
