Hi, I’m Charles, a Filipino graphic designer and illustrator. My journey with design has allowed me to enhance my technical abilities while exploring creative approaches. Studying various disciplines has helped me tackle challenges from different perspectives, using the right tools to produce impactful outcomes. My portfolio highlights my skills and creativity across a range of multi-disciplinary projects, reflecting both my personal interests and design style. As I progress in my career, I would like to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and make a positive impact on communities through inclusive design.

Projects

Cloud Matcha

Cloud is a Japanese-inspired matcha tea brand that specializes in organic matcha powder. Welcoming matcha lovers from all communities, the brand aims to bring a smooth-tasting experience and to encourage people to explore a part of Japanese culture.

Under the Mango Tree

Connecting back to my Filipino roots, this visual narrative tells a glimpse of my childhood story through a short poem and a sequence of children’s book-inspired illustrations. I want to share some experiences and reminisce on some of the most cherished moments I had with my grandparents back in the Philippines.

Sense the Love

Our team’s Sense the Love exhibition creates an immersive environment that educates visitors on the five love languages by interacting with a range of sensory elements. Ultimately, it encourages people to explore emotional connection and to leave a positive impact on their perception of affection.

In collaboration with Barbie Cayanan and Celine Trinidad.

Allard Hall Wayfinding

Our team developed a navigational system that aims to enhance the wayfinding experience across the communities of Allard Hall. We introduced visible and identifiable signage that effectively communicates appropriate visual cues that help direct the users to their desired rooms within the building and further ease the flow of traffic across the spaces.

In collaboration with Barbie Cayanan and Helena Kang (Eungi).
