Seraphim Rosenfeldt
they/them
Hi, I’m Seraphim, an Edmonton-based designer specializing in print and publication design. Initially, through experience in fine art and photography, I have always been drawn to conveying meaning through visuals and have carried that into my design practice. Through my studies, I have found a passion for print design and production, developing a knowledge and fascination with paper, ink, type layout and physical tangibles. As a designer, I aspire to create meaningful product interactions in an increasingly digital world.
Projects
Be Kind
This album design was created for Chandelle Rimmer and Tom Van Seters second album, which was released with Bent River Records. The design utilizes rounded type and grainy photography to invoke jazz music's adventurous and improvisational aspects.
Griff Redesign
This refresh of the Griff focused on capturing and expressing the passionate and confident spirit of the students reading and creating it. Bright colours, bold graphics, and a dynamic grid invoke a youthful feeling while maintaining the Griff as a legible and enjoyable read.
Yard Killer Campaign
This campaign was created to raise awareness of common invasive species in Alberta as a preventative measure to prevent the destruction of the province's natural ecosystems. The campaign aimed to reach its audience at home and in gardening stores through targeted posters, social media posts, and door hangers.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
This book design for Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was inspired by the aesthetics of the Arts and Crafts Movement in the nineteenth century. The type treatment, illustration style, and paper choices reference the works of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Elements of whimsy nature connect the Movement to the already fantastical world of Wonderland, heightening the classic story.
