Design has become a space of self-discovery, exploration, and where I belong. In my journey as a designer, I first became inspired by typography. I later found a passion for branding and advertising and a growing interest in storytelling and speculative design (however, after all this, I still love a good typeface). Within these areas, I enjoy being curious about new topics, experimenting and playing with creative ideas, connecting with others, and bringing projects to life with a new skill or insight to add to my pocket. In the process, I have also discovered the values and issues that are important to me. What motivates me to design is the people I am surrounded by and the limitless potential of what the discipline can do and mean for others. As I begin my career, I plan to continuously evolve in my skills and role just as design continues to shift and redefine itself.

Projects

Chello

This project aimed to create a product brand and strategy centred around a target audience. Chello is a friendly, welcoming cheese brand that connects, reunites, and creates memories for families and young adults. The lively colours portray the brand’s spirited personality and reflect how the product can lighten up any occasion. Moreover, the combination of hand-drawn and digital illustrations and typefaces in the ad and packaging assist in the brand being relatable to the audience.

Hangar 11

Hangar 11 was chosen as the focus of a project that consisted of developing a brand identity for a building. The goal was to establish Hangar 11 as a friendly and sustainable community hub that celebrates its rich history, fosters connection among visitors and serves as a catalyst for opportunity and innovation.

In collaboration with Kayla Tolentino.

Sense the Love

This project is an exhibition design that translates brand identity into a space and advertising collateral. Sense the Love creates an immersive environment that educates visitors on the five love languages by interacting with visuals and textures. Ultimately, the exhibit aims for people to explore emotional connection and positively impact people’s perception of affection.

In collaboration with Barbie Cayanan and Charles Tanyag.

One Fine Day

With a personal trip to Victoria as the focal point, this project is called to communicate a journey through imagery. The digital illustrations based on personal photographs from the trip served as an initial foundation for the project.
