After graduating with a Design Studies diploma in 2015, I decided to return to MacEwan to complete my BDes. Over the past six years I have worked as a freelance photographer and graphic designer, and in my continuation of the Design program I have explored new methods and ideas related to mental health, nature, and how art and design can be used as therapeutic tools. My capstone project is a short film about how approaching life like a beginner can open up new creative possibilities. After graduation I hope to continue working on photo and design projects for like-minded clients.
Projects
Urban Landscapes
Urban landscapes blur the line between people and nature, viewing manmade structures, humans, and plant life as part of a whole. Organic shapes contrast with hard lines to form rivers, hills, and buildings.
Interior Space
For this project, I photographed the interior of a local church. This ARTE 205 brief called for an exploration of depth, levels, and line perspective in order to articulate the character of the space.
