As a graphic designer, I have an eye for detail and notice the little things. Beyond design, I am passionate about storytelling and creative writing. My portfolio highlights my willingness to be creative and explore new techniques. I am excited to take the skills I have learned these past years and work with new people in a professional capacity. I want to help others tell the story they want to share with the world! I believe my compassion for the community around me will help guide my work in a socially responsible way that aids others.
Projects
Copy an Illustrator’s Style
This project consisted of choosing both an illustrator’s style and a historical masterpiece to copy. I chose the illustrator Nastka Drabot and the masterpiece Girl with a Pearl Earring to reproduce in her style. The challenge was to make the masterpiece look like it was created in Drabot’s style. I had not previously created vector art before, so this was an interesting project to complete.
Domestic Violence Awareness Poster
This project involved creating a poster that helped to raise awareness for domestic violence. This poster was a challenge to make sure I was not depicting any harmful stereotypes of survivors of domestic violence. I used colour to depict the abuser and the survivor, and how sometimes domestic violence can go unseen.
