This is a project that informs people about feminist fashion. The zine educates individuals about feminist fashion issues and the exploration of fashion identity.
In DESN410, I researched current feminist fashion issues and how fashion is part of someone’s identity. I learned that there are a lot of ethical problems regarding labour and production within the fashion industry. With this information, I conducted a co-design and a cultural probe activity to explore people’s connection with fashion. I found out that people view fashion as a form of sustenance and are unaware of the issues within the fashion industry.
I explored different styles and layouts for the zine. This precise and careful research is meant to find an appropriate and creative visual design to communicate feminist fashion to people.
